Unless found on a shoreline where wave action makes rounded stones,

that looks too perfect for a natural occurrence.   NICE FIND !!

Found in in Gran's field. Don't think theres any ocean near unless it was millions of years ago  :sunny: Are some of the wave action stones that nearly perfect ?

Yes they can be almost perfectly round or ovoid. we collect any exceptional ones we find.

I think yours was made by hand as they would only occur naturally on open ocean beaches,

it takes pounding waves (or a rushing river I suppose) to make them smooth.

I think the most relevant thing to consider is whether other smoothed stones are found in the area,

this would be evidence that some circumstance in the past caused them to be formed by nature,

like an ancient sea or river......

Looks like a bola stone. Is there a slight dimple on one end?
